Our client is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations within a chilled environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the movement of freight, managing documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, and leading a small warehouse team.
Documentation & Records
Maintain accurate files for all warehouse operations.
Count and label products correctly, recording temperatures on arrival.
Build & Breakdown
Oversee the goods-inward process and correct storage allocation.
Break down products, label pallets accurately, and store at the correct temperature.
Report and share evidence of damaged products with sales/distribution teams.
Problem Resolution
Identify and resolve issues such as delays, damages, or clearance challenges.
Customer Service
Ensure efficient driver load/unload operations and correct paperwork completion.
People Management
Supervise warehouse staff, delegate daily tasks, and ensure staff accountability.
Health & Safety
Enforce company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Report incidents promptly and ensure a clean, tidy, and secure warehouse environment.
Food Safety
Support and adhere to the company’s food safety policies and processes.
Valid Forklift Licence / FLT Experience (essential)
Previous experience in a warehouse lead/supervisory role
Experience with perishable goods/food handling advantageous
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Security training/screening experience is a bonus
