    Quality Systems Co-ordinator

    Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

    We are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Co-ordinator to join a busy food manufacturing environment in West London.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, improving and implementing the site’s quality and food safety management systems, ensuring documentation, processes and procedures remain accurate, compliant and up to date.

    The Role

    Working closely with the Technical and operational teams, you will be responsible for coordinating quality systems, supporting audits and ensuring food safety and quality standards are consistently maintained.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Maintaining and updating quality and food safety management systems.
    • Managing document control systems and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
    • Reviewing and maintaining food safety, traceability and raw material risk assessments.
    • Coordinating laboratory sampling schedules, reviewing results and escalating any issues where required.
    • Carrying out traceability and mass balance exercises.
    • Supporting raw material and supplier approval processes.
    • Maintaining allergen risk assessments and associated validation and verification documentation.
    • Supporting sampling and microbiological monitoring activities.
    • Attending relevant HACCP, VACCP and NPD meetings.
    • Maintaining concession and non-conformance logs.
    • Following up on non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Managing customer complaint investigations and preparing investigation reports.
    • Generating and reviewing quality KPIs and communicating results to relevant teams.
    • Carrying out internal audits and supporting external audits.
    • Training factory staff on relevant technical, quality and food safety standards.
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting their implementation.
    • Ensuring compliance with company Food Safety, GMP, Hygiene, Quality and Health & Safety procedures.

    About You

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a quality, technical or food safety role in food manufacturing.
    • Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
    • Good knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality management systems.
    • Experience with documentation control, audits and risk assessments.
    • Experience handling non-conformances, complaints and corrective actions.
    • Strong attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach.
    • Good analytical and investigative skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good numeracy skills.
    • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
    • The confidence to communicate with colleagues across different levels of the business.

    This role would suit someone currently working as a Quality Systems Co-ordinator, Technical Co-ordinator, Technical Assistant, Quality Technician, Quality Supervisor or similar within a food manufacturing environment.
