    Quality Auditor

    Location: West London
    Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum
    Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off – rotating days and nights
    Hours: 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am
    Overtime: Basic rate + 25%

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Auditor to join a busy food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role supporting the site’s quality, food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant customer and regulatory requirements.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality and food safety systems across the site, carrying out audits and investigations, monitoring quality standards and supporting continuous improvement.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Carrying out routine quality and food safety audits across the site.
    • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the site’s Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
    • Managing and reviewing documentation and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
    • Carrying out traceability exercises and mass balance checks.
    • Supporting raw material and supplier approval processes.
    • Reviewing and maintaining food safety and raw material risk assessments.
    • Supporting allergen management, validation and verification activities.
    • Managing sampling schedules and reviewing microbiological results, escalating issues where required.
    • Managing non-conformances, concessions and corrective actions.
    • Investigating customer complaints and assisting with root cause analysis.
    • Monitoring and reporting relevant quality KPIs.
    • Supporting internal and external audits.
    • Training and communicating food safety, quality and hygiene standards to site teams.
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and working with relevant departments to implement improvements.
    • Ensuring compliance with site Health & Safety, GMP, hygiene and food safety procedures.

    About You

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food safety, quality or technical role within food manufacturing.
    • Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
    • Experience working with HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality systems.
    • Experience carrying out audits, investigations and corrective actions.
    • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good organisational and time-management skills.
    • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
    • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
    • The confidence to communicate with and influence colleagues across different levels of the business.

    This would suit someone currently working as a Quality Auditor, Quality Technician, Technical Assistant, Technical Supervisor, Quality Supervisor or similar within a food manufacturing environment.
