First Call Contract Services is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter to join a busy maintenance operation based at Heathrow Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles and specialist airport equipment within one of the UK’s busiest aviation environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Perform MOT preparation and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately.
- Work safely in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Support breakdown response where required.
- Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and kept clean.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred) or apprenticeship.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on HGVs, trailers or specialist commercial vehicles.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours
40-hours per week Monday to Friday but flexibility is required
Security Clearance
As this role is based at Heathrow Airport, successful applicants will be required to complete aviation security vetting, including a five-year employment history check, criminal record check and Right to Work verification.
