We are recruiting Baggage Agents to join our busy airport operation. No two days are the same, and for the right person this could be the first step towards a rewarding career within aviation.
You’ll work as part of an operational team helping to keep flights moving safely and on time, while gaining valuable airport experience and learning new skills along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload and handle passenger baggage
- Operate BRS scanners, electric baggage tugs and other approved equipment
- Handle outsize baggage and work in confined spaces when required
- Meet loading deadlines to support safe and on-time aircraft departures
- Follow all Health & Safety, security and operational procedures
- Work independently and as part of a busy operational team
What We’re Looking For
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting and manual handling
- Reliable, flexible and hardworking
- Good communication skills and a strong team ethic
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced airport environment
- Able to work early mornings, late shifts, weekends and bank holidays
- Full, clean UK driving licence with driving experience is essential
Pay & Shifts
- £14.25 per hour
- Early shifts generally start from 05:00
- Late shifts can finish around 00:00
- Shift times may vary according to operational requirements
- Working hours may change during the summer flying programme
Aviation Security
Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must be able to complete the required airport security vetting, criminal record and background checks.
