Shifts for Manufacturer Recall Technician :

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00-14:00

Pay for Manufacturer Recall Technician:

• From £15.00 per hour
• Paid weekly

Main Duties of Manufacturer Recall Technician :

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete manufacturer recall work on Stellantis vehicles (including Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall, DS, Fiat and related brands)
2. Perform software downloads, updates, and reprogramming using approved manufacturer diagnostic systems
3. Carry out minor checks and inspections as specified within recall instructions
4. Undertake light mechanical work associated with recall actions (e.g. component replacement, adjustments, basic repairs)
5. Follow recall bulletins, technical instructions, and quality standards precisely
6. Accurately complete all recall documentation, job cards, and system updates
7. Carry out post‑work checks to confirm recall actions have been completed correctly
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area
9. Adhere to all Health & Safety, workshop, and site procedures
10. Communicate any issues, delays, or technical concerns to the supervisor promptly

Skills and Experience of Manufacturer Recall Technician:

Essential:

1. Basic mechanical or automotive experience
2. Confidence using computer‑based systems for diagnostics and software updates
3. Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
4. Strong focus on safety and quality
5. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Desirable:

1. Previous experience working on manufacturer recalls
2. Experience with Stellantis vehicles
3. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
4. Full UK driving licence

Training

1. Full on‑site training will be provided, including manufacturer systems, recall procedures, and safety requirements
2. Ongoing support from experienced technicians and supervisors

Health & Safety

1. Must comply with all Health & Safety regulations at all times
2. Use of PPE is mandatory where required
3. Responsible for reporting hazards, defects, or safety concerns immediately

Additional Information

The majority of the work will be around cambelt replacements so if a level 2 has recently had experience in this type work they would also be considered for the role without having to have the diagnostic qualifications.
