Warehouse/ Delivery Driver – Join Our Client’s Team
Salary: £26,830 per annum + £100/month attendance bonus
Contract: 40-hour, Monday to Friday, 7am start (possibly earlier) 3.5t van – multi drop- relief driver
Location: Stevenage base
Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Warehouse/ Delivery Driver to join their team. As a key part of their logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries to commercial locations, route planning, vehicle checks, and providing excellent customer service along with warehouse duties when not driving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any faults.
- Load and unload goods ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and handle Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork.
- Present a professional image and maintain high customer service standards.
- Adhere to road traffic legislation, environmental, health & safety policies.
- Assist with stock checks and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Maintain clean and roadworthy vehicles at all times.
- Operate in a flexible manner to meet delivery schedules, understanding the unpredictability of traffic, road conditions, and other factors.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points).
- Experience driving for at least 2 years.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work extra hours if needed.
- Local area knowledge – London specifically.
