    Warehouse Manager – Ashford, Kent

    Salary: £46,575 per annum
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexibility required when issues arise)
    Start Date: Early 2026 (to allow for full training and handover)

    Our client, a family-run business established in 1967, has been trading for over 50 years in the fresh produce industry. They specialise in the import and supply of high-quality grapes and are now seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead their busy operation based in Ashford, Kent.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on professional with strong leadership and organisational skills to take ownership of the warehouse function and drive continued operational excellence.

    Position Overview

    The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including staff management, logistics coordination and ensuring efficient, safe and accurate handling of goods. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and performance across the department.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Staff management, training and motivation

    • Coordination with Sales, Technical and Production teams

    • Monitoring pallet space and stock rotation

    • Ensuring dispatch accuracy and timeliness

    • Overseeing warehouse cleanliness and maintenance

    • Liaising with logistics, suppliers and stakeholders

    • Supporting HR with employee relations and shift rotas

    About You

    • Proven experience in warehouse management or a senior supervisory role within a fast-paced environment

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team

    • Excellent communication and time management abilities

    • Solid understanding of warehouse logistics, stock control and dispatch processes

    • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure

    • Good IT and numerical skills

    • Knowledge of health and safety compliance and best practices
