Warehouse Labourers for Export Freight

We are recruiting NOW for staff to work at our Clients busy export operation based in Basildon, Essex, SS15.   These full-time positions for the right people who want to develop a career in a major international company.

As this is a specialist site and regulated by DfT for Aviation regulations, all applicants will need to satisfy the security and screening requirements as set out below (please read carefully).

These positions are immediate starts subject to security checks and please note we will not be accepting students for these full-time positions.

What you will be doing:

• Unloading trailers and pallets for sortation and labeling.  Boxes and Sacks can weigh up to 25kg
• Scanning and processing Packets, Boxes, and Sacks into export sections.
• Working to meet expected processing deadlines;
• Building pallets and ULD’s;
• Processing export paperwork
• Working with the team to ensure a clean and tidy work environment

Starting wage and shifts

Shifts are based on a 4-on/4-off basis:

• 06:00 to 18:00 with 4-days working and 4-days rest
• 18:00 to 06:00 with 4-days working and 4-days rest
• Overtime can be worked on rest days and is paid at 1.5x standard pay rate.
• Rest days are standard 4-days that can be taken with a holiday (ie 4x days holiday = 12 days off)

Wages start at

• Pay rate £9.30 (on days) to £10.05 (on nights) plus overtime paid at x 1.5 for hours in excess of 44 per week.
• Full-time positions available only!
• Full training & PPE provided.
• Performance bonuses paid after qualifying period)

What we need from you for Security Checks:

1. A 5-year Checkable background and criminal record history
2. Good Time-keeping and attitude to work
3. Good level of English verbally and written
4. A Self-starter with enthusiasm for the role.
