Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (including scheduled breaks)
About the Role
Our client is a leading manufacturer of natural essential oils and ingredients supplying the global flavour and fragrance industry from their base in London SE18.
They are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative / Goods In Coordinator to join their busy warehouse team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, organisation, and teamwork are essential.

We need to make sure that candidates have high energy, are adaptable, pragmatic, a digital native, and not set in their ways, with a lot of runway to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In / Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and book in all incoming deliveries
- Check goods against purchase orders for accuracy and quality
- Record stock movements accurately on internal systems
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly
- Ensure all goods are labelled, stored, and handled correctly in line with procedures
Warehouse Operations
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for production and dispatch
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular checks and updates
- Ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Support stock rotation (FIFO) and inventory control processes
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow strict health & safety procedures at all times
- Adhere to food industry standards and hygiene requirements
- Use PPE correctly and consistently
- Support compliance with internal quality systems
General Duties
- Operate forklifts (if licensed) – training provided if required
- Work collaboratively with production, logistics, and quality teams
- Support continuous improvement within warehouse processes
- Carry out additional duties as required by management
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Forklift truck (FLT) licence desirable but not essential (training can be provided)
- Right to live and work permanently in the UK
