We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Sweeper / 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 3.5 tonne vehicle, carrying out sweeping and cleaning duties, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across designated sites and areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Carry out road, pavement, car park and site sweeping duties as required.
- Ensure all assigned areas are kept clean, tidy and free from litter and debris.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and kept clean and in good working order.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Complete daily work records and any required paperwork.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete scheduled tasks.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and members of the public.
- Report any hazards, damage or issues identified while working.
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence, with no current penalty points preferred.
- Experience driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle.
- Previous sweeping, cleaning or grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good awareness of road safety and health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual duties.
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Working Conditions
- Work will involve driving and outdoor cleaning duties in various weather conditions.
- Some manual handling and physical activity will be required.
- Working hours and locations will be confirmed by the employer.
