Role:
To form part of a team of street cleansing operatives, or to work alone, to ensure the Borough’s towns, streets and open spaces are cleaned to a high standard.
Shifts:
Monday – Friday:
- 06:00 – 14:30
- 07:30 – 16:00
Pay Rates:
- £10.21 per hour
General Duties for Street Cleansing Operatives
- To cleanse the streets, town centres, industrial areas and parks within the Borough of litter, weeds, detritus and fly-tipped material and other works associated with the street cleansing service.
- Collect bulky waste items as required. This will include driving occasionally.
- To sweep and litter-pick in town centre areas aided by a dedicated street cleansing barrow, as required.
- Maintain and take responsibility for your equipment, which includes daily checks and cleaning your equipment, when appropriate.
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade, which contribute to the purpose and objectives of the post.
