    Our long-standing and valued client is looking to recruit an experienced Shift Production Manager to join their successful production team.

    You’ll play a key role in leading production operations on shift, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and customer expectations are consistently achieved while driving continuous improvement across the operation.

    The Role

    As Shift Production Manager, you will take ownership of your shift, leading by example and ensuring the production operation runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading, coaching, and developing Production Team Managers to achieve outstanding performance.

    • Driving daily production targets while monitoring key KPIs including output, labour efficiency, waste, downtime, and quality.

    • Ensuring production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

    • Managing stock and material usage, maintaining accuracy, and investigating any variances.

    • Working closely with Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production flow.

    • Creating a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

    • Managing employee performance, attendance, training, and development.

    • Maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety, quality, and company compliance.

    • Producing accurate end-of-shift reports covering production performance, staffing, downtime, quality issues, and corrective actions.

    • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Managing operational issues quickly and effectively to minimise disruption.

    • Delivering comprehensive shift handovers to ensure seamless operational continuity.

    About You

    We’re looking for someone who can inspire others while delivering operational excellence.

    You’ll ideally have:

    • Previous experience as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership role.

    • A proven background within a manufacturing, production, or food production environment.

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.

    • Experience managing KPIs and using performance data to drive improvements.

    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    • Strong planning, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Experience with production planning, stock control, resource allocation, and workflow management.

    • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.

    • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and Quality Management Systems.

    Shift Pattern

    This role operates on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating shift pattern. As the rota runs continuously throughout the year, shifts will include weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
