We have supported Royal Mail for over 20 years, and once again are helping find them the people they need for their Mail Centres.
We need dedicated and motivated individuals to work with us this Christmas to make sure all the letters and packages get to everyone in time for the big day!
You’ll be part of a big team of helpers, all working together to ensure the job is done on time. We have lots of different shifts and times available so you can find the right shift for you, we do need you to be available for the whole time, as there’s lots of work to do.
As a Mail Sorter, you’ll be unloading mail and parcels, moving them through our warehouses and ensuring that they arrive at their destination safely. During a single shift, you could sort over a million items with your team! It’s a very important role so flexibility, commitment and enthusiasm are key.
Our Wish List
- You’re able to push trolleys (up to 250kgs) and lift and move mail bags (up to 11kg).
- You can comfortably stand for long periods.
- You don’t need to have worked for us before (we love new people!), but experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus. If you’ve worked for Amazon or another distribution company (such as DPD, DHL or XPO), then you’re definitely on our wish list too!
Good to know
- You will need to be 18 years or older to work shifts at this location.
- You can choose your hours and work shifts that fit around your other commitments and, subject to availability, we’ll be able to continue to offer you work on an ongoing basis.
Shifts for Mail Sorter (Must be flexible with your hours):
After completing 12 calendar weeks of service, pay rates will increase to match Royal Mail permanent employees, in line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR).
- 06:00 – 14:00 £10.90ph
- 14:00 – 22:00 £10.90ph
- 22:00 – 06:00 £11.90ph
- 18:00 – 01:00 £11.90ph
Bank Holiday £14ph
*Please note, Christmas rates (below) are in valid from 30th October 2023 to 21st January 2024
- 06:00 – 14:00 £12.29ph
- 14:00 – 22:00 £13.63ph
- 22:00 – 06:00 £14.81ph
Bank Holiday £18.44ph
Main Duties of Mail Sorter:
- Separating bags for returns or disposal
- Moving cages and mail bags
- General warehouse duties
