Production Coordinator
Location: Nazeing, Essex )
Salary: £37,000 starting, rising to £40,000 after successful 6-month probation
Hours: Full-time, permanent | Core hours between 6am – 4pm
Our client, who are manufacturers of concrete building blocks and facing masonry, are looking for a reliable and detail-driven Production Coordinator to join their team in Lower Nazeing. This is a key role that also includes the responsibilities of a Stock Controller and offers a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This is a varied and hands-on position working closely with the Production Manager, Yard, Transport and Sales teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the production and inventory operations.
Production Coordination:
Support the Production Manager and Operations Director with general admin, job descriptions, inductions, payroll and production run data
Maintain accurate stock and production records using Excel and NAV (Dynamics 365 Business Central)
Process raw material receipts and match invoices to ensure timely supplier payments
Coordinate raw material deliveries and ensure stock is in line with production needs
Assist with planning for two block machines and manage stock adjustments
Liaise with engineering teams for parts, purchasing and maintenance needs
Stock Controller Duties (Raw Materials, Block Stock, Fairfaced, Pallet Inventory):
Track stock levels across multiple categories and update records on NAV
Order raw materials weekly based on production demand
Conduct and manage monthly stocktakes including Saturdays when required
Maintain lean inventory processes and manage waste areas
Allocate yard space efficiently and manage yard layout
Act as the point of contact for Sales on fairfaced stock availability and orders
Manage pallet inventory including stock levels, codes and adjustments
Essential:
Experience in a Production or Stock Control role within manufacturing or industrial environments
Familiarity with inventory and ERP systems (ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central)
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Physically fit and able to work in a yard-based environment
Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred Qualifications and Training:
Degree in Logistics, Business Administration or similar
Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
Self-motivated and dependable with a strong attention to detail
Able to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal departments and yard staff
Good timekeeping and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and take ownership of processes
Salary starting at £37,000 rising to £40,000 after probation
Monday to Friday role with paid breaks
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Company pension scheme (employee contributes 5%, employer contributes 4%)
