Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £33,000 per annum
Our client is looking for a People Advisor to join their on-site team and play a key role in creating a supportive, inclusive and high-performing workplace. This is a hands-on, generalist HR role within a fast-paced operational environment, ideal for someone who is passionate about people, culture and doing things the right way.
As People Advisor, you’ll be a friendly and approachable first point of contact for all people-related matters on site. You’ll work closely with managers and employees, providing practical, values-led HR advice and supporting the full employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the first point of contact for employee and manager people queries
Providing HR advice on absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing and engagement
Supporting employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
Coaching and developing line managers to build confidence in people management
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and retention to ensure a positive employee experience
Maintaining accurate HR data, records and reports, using insights to identify trends and improvements
Championing company values and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture
You’ll bring a people-first mindset and the confidence to balance empathy with pragmatism in a busy environment.
You’ll ideally have:
Experience in a generalist HR or People Advisor role
Background in manufacturing, food production or another fast-paced operational setting (desirable)
A solid understanding of UK employment law and employee relations
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels
A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail
A genuine passion for creating great places to work
Qualifications:
CIPD Level 5 desirable, or
CIPD Level 3 (working towards or willing to train)
