Location: Hemel Hempstead
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 8:00pm – 5:00am (45 hours per week)
Salary: £33,000 – £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Holiday: 28 days, rising to 33 days after 5 years’ service
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Night Shift Team Leader to support their night operation within a fast-paced distribution environment. Reporting directly to the Night Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of night-time logistics and warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Night Shift Supervisor

Organising and overseeing the loading of all vans and lorries throughout the night

Producing accurate nightly loading reports

Monitoring staff performance and creating effective workflow plans

Liaising with the Transport team to resolve any operational issues

Managing stock control and reporting discrepancies

Supporting the Night Shift Supervisor in maintaining a safe working environment and escalating issues to the Warehouse Manager where necessary
Additional Responsibilities

Getting involved in operational projects and presenting improvement ideas to management

Manoeuvring vans within a busy yard during night operations

Providing cover for the Night Shift Supervisor during periods of absence

Supporting the wider needs of the business where required, within reason
Essential Requirements
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklift licences

Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
-
Proven experience leading or supervising small teams in a previous role
