    First Call Aviation is excited to recruit an Import/ Export admin at Feltham.

    The role of import / Export Clerk is to provide support service for all import/export shipments, heavily involved in customs area. To work with our suppliers and gateways, to contribute towards the smooth running of the business and ensure great customer experience.

    Shifts for an Import/Export Admin:

    7am to 4pm with weekend work on a rota

    General Duties for an Import / Export Clerk:

    • Monitor inbound arrivals from customer pre-alerts and using tracking sites to ensure correct capacity on vans have been booked.
    • Sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered to HMRC including CPC codes, commodity codes, import/export licensing, EORI numbers etc.
    • Liaising with agents, customers, and consignees
    • Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export clearances
    • Dealing with entry queries – commodity codes, and documentation requirements.
    • Recording shipment and daily activity onto excel spreadsheets/systems
    • Create and dispatch vehicle load plans to operations
    • Key point of contact for liaising with Hauliers, Gateway, Depots/Hubs & Third-party drivers
    • Ensure the right of every employee to carry out their daily work in a safe environment
    • Ad hoc duties to support business requirement
    • Scheduling transportation services, planning routes, and assigning drivers.
    • Liaising between managers and drivers, as well as collaborating with other departments to optimize transportation/operational services.
    • Query resolution.
    • Have an understanding on how international shipping works.

    To be successful in this role you will require the following…

    Qualifications:

    • Proficient use of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Good Maths and English skills written and verbal.

    Knowledge & Experience:

    • Ability to work under own initiative.
    • Good communication skills.

    Technical & People Skills:

    • Quick decision making and problem-solving skills.
    • Basic understanding of Air imports/Exports would be an advantage.
