We are recruiting HGV Drivers to join a leading aviation catering and logistics operation serving major airlines at London Gatwick Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Start Date

Immediate starts available following successful completion of employment referencing and aviation security checks.

Shift Options

Option 1

04:00 AM – 16:00 PM or 05:00 AM – 17:00 PM
4 Days On / 4 Days Off

Option 2

01:00 AM – 12:00 PM
4 Days On / 4 Days Off

Pay Rates

• Standard Rate: £17.86 per hour
• Overtime Rate: £26.79 per hour
• Bank Holiday Rate: £35.72 per hour

Early Shift Premium

• 01:00 AM – 12:00 PM Shift: £19.65 per hour

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate HGV vehicles safely and efficiently while complying with all road traffic regulations and company procedures.
• Deliver airline catering supplies, equipment and stock to and from aircraft operating at Gatwick Airport.
• Load, transport and unload catering supplies, equipment and stock while ensuring loads are secured correctly.
• Conduct pre-use and post-use vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Complete all delivery paperwork, vehicle checks and operational documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with transport teams, dispatchers and operational staff regarding schedules and deliveries.
• Follow all health, safety, security and aviation compliance procedures at all times.
• Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles where required.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

✔ Valid HGV Licence (Minimum Class C)
✔ Valid Digital Tachograph (Tacho) Card
✔ Valid CPC (Driver Qualification Card)
✔ Right to Work in the UK
✔ Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
✔ 5 years of checkable employment history

Experience & Skills

• Previous HGV or commercial driving experience preferred
• Experience operating flatbed lorries is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and driver compliance
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Professional and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
