Delivery Driver – Join Our Client’s Team
Salary: £26,830 per annum + £100/month attendance bonus
Contract: 40-hour, Monday to Friday, 5am start (possibly earlier) 3.5t van – multi drop.
Location: Stevenage base- Approx 15 – 20 drops per day. Predominantly in London
Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Delivery Driver to join their team. As a key part of their logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries to commercial locations, route planning, vehicle checks, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any faults.
- Load and unload goods ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and handle Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork.
- Present a professional image and maintain high customer service standards.
- Adhere to road traffic legislation, environmental, health & safety policies.
- Assist with stock checks and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Maintain clean and roadworthy vehicles at all times.
- Operate in a flexible manner to meet delivery schedules, understanding the unpredictability of traffic, road conditions, and other factors.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points).
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Experience driving for at least 2 years.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work extra hours if needed.
- Local area knowledge – London specifically.
