We have an exciting opportunity to work for a world Leading manufacturer. Pay rates from £13 per hour. The role of Assembly Operator in the Chelmsford area.
Shifts for Assembly Operator:
- Monday – Thursday 6.30-15.30
- Friday 6.30-12.30
Pay :
- From £13ph
- Paid weekly
- 2×10 min break paid. 1x30min unpaid
Key Personal Requirements
- Ability to work with and understand production documentation eg procedures and assembly drawings.
- Comfortable with different types of assembly jobs. (We do not produce one particular type of assembly but work as a sub-contractor for our customers)
- Conscientious and diligent towards the quality of their work
- Punctual and prepared to work overtime if required
- Ability to work alongside others
- Good eye sight and not colour blind
- Maybe required to work in standing position, generally seated work but some assemblies will not allow seats
- Confidence in using lifting equipment and pallet trucks
- Accepting of using Personal Protective Clothing (PPE)
Key Skills
- Ability to use general mechanical assembly tools
- Experience of wire crimping, these can be extremely small and delicate operations.
- Ability to solder with latest lead free solders
- IT experience extremely advantageous
- Confident using electrical test equipment
- Experience of using automated equipment
- Understand the importance of calibration status on all equipment
