Come Join us Saturday – Family Fun Day Macmillan Fundraiser

Please come and support us this Saturday

Location: Aspen Waite Arena, Scraley Rd, Heybridge, Maldon CM9 8JA

    Time: 13:00

The facts are that if you were born after 1960 you have a 50% chance of being told at some point you have cancer. Bearing that in mind, 1 in every 2 people that you love or care about born after 1960 will be told they have cancer.

How about we help change them odds?
And why not have some fun in the meantime!!

On this day there will be plenty for EVERYONE!

Starting at 13:00 there will be:

    • FREE face paints for all children, a donation is appreciated from big kids!
    • FREE use of two bouncy castles
    • A selection of stalls
    • Fair games
    • Bar & food bar
    • Ice creams & candy floss
    • Music
    • Raffle

And these will continue throughout the afternoon.

13:30 – the main stadium pitch will be split in half and host two games of 30 minutes (15 each way)
    The games are
    Heybridge Swifts vs First Call
    Ages: 7-10 & 11-15
All players will donate £5 each to the charity and should get in touch with Nikki Ponder (Swifts) or Dan Mankelow (First Call) if the wish to be in the teams, minimum 12 players required per team, playing 9 a side.

14.30 – the fun begins as the men take to the pitch! 1hour match (30mins each way)
Once again Heybridge Swifts vs First Call.
Reverting back to full size these guys (that still believe they’re fit) will pay £10 per person to the charity and should again get in touch with Nikki or Dan if they wish to take part. 20 men required per team, playing 11 a side.

After this game the adults can rest at the bar while the children’s entertainment begins.
Clowns, magicians & much more to be revealed closer but guaranteed to really entertain all ages!

18:00 – the raffle will take place. Donations are welcomed!
Tickets will be on sale from July 1st so everyone can support the event in some way.

After the raffle and way into the evening will be live music from band popcorn lung amongst others. Accompanied by DJ Mark Howe from Extreme Sounds.

Entry is £4 adult, £2 child or £10 family of four.

As always volunteers for the event and any extra ideas are most welcomed!
