Shifts for Food Production Operatives:
- 07:00 to 17:00
- 17:00 to 01:00
- 23:00 to 07:00
Pay:
- From £13.24 per hour (£16.55 for night hours)
- Paid weekly
Main Duties of Hygiene op in Food Production:
- Complete hygiene and cleaning schedules on plant, equipment and the factory environment to the
- required standard and within agreed timescales.Carry out chemical cleaning using approved chemicals, methods and equipment, following COSHH instructions and wearing the correct PPE.
- Use hygiene equipment correctly and report faults, damage or shortages so that tools remain safe and effective.
- Support engineering during routine preventative maintenance by cleaning around work areas and leaving plant ready for use.
- Support production with line set-up and line start-up after deep cleaning and maintenance.
- Carry out ATP swabbing as directed and record results accurately.
- Follow all cleaning procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and site hygiene rules.
- Work in line with the Quality Management System and Health & Safety Management System.
- Identify and report hazards, spills, pest activity, damaged equipment and any hygiene or safety concerns immediately.
- Help the team respond to audit findings and corrective actions by completing allocated tasks to the agreed standard and timescale.
- Support announced and unannounced customer audits and visits by keeping your area audit-ready and following the Team Leader’s brief.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues on your own shift and at handover so the next team knows what has been completed and what remains.
- Work constructively with production, engineering, technical and other site teams.
- Assist with basic stock checks of chemicals, consumables and hygiene supplies as directed.
- Take responsibility for your own performance, training and competence in the role.

- Work in compliance with the Health & Safety Policy so hazards are identified and controlled
