Operations Lead – Nottingham
We are looking for a Market Lead to lead our team to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles in Nottingham. This role is ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals that want to broaden and build their career experiences.
Teamwork is at the heart of our operation, as mechanics and drivers work together to identify critical parts of our product lines that can be improved and ensure the safe working condition of our fleet.
What you’ll do:
- Hire, train, and lead a team of Mechanics and Drivers while assigning daily tasks as needed and ensuring workflow is efficient
- Maintain a team oriented environment and integrate new members to the team
- Monitor market metrics and team performance to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable feedback to management.
- Ensure operational compliance and safety of all vehicles by completing quality checks prior to their departure from the warehouse for deployment
- Follow established safety procedures to ensure riders are on the safest vehicles
- Ensure accurate documentation of completed quality checks for vehicles and parts
- Manage battery operations such as inspection, rotation, check in/out, and more
- Own warehouse compliance and inventory management, ensuring the facility meets global safety standards and operational efficiency targets.
- May assist with any level of tire maintenance including changes, inflation, or assembly
- Identify issues and perform small repairs on vehicles in field from brake adjustments to vehicle cleaning to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition
- Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse
- Perform in warehouse repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement
- Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned
- Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart on a frequent basis
- Additional job related tasks as assigned Market Performance & Logistics Oversight
- Drive Fleet Performance: Monitor market KPIs (such as Operational Rate, Repairs per Day, and Quality of Repairs) to ensure maximum fleet availability.
- Logistics Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for our 3rd party logistics, ensuring smooth deployment and identifying bottlenecks in driver and vehicle workflow.
- Operational Reporting: Provide daily status reports on warehouse throughput, repair backlogs, and market-level issues to management.
- Stakeholder & Compliance: Manage local warehouse compliance, address public complaints, and proactively monitor for local issues like vandalism to ensure swift resolution.
About you:
● 1 year of experience in a similar industry; with the ability to train others preferred
● Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if required
● Ability to lift up to 65lbs on a frequent basis required
● An understanding of workforce management to help Ops Management ensure efficient staffing
● Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools
● Ability to use data to inform decision making; and understand KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to make an impact
● Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred
● Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart
● Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs
● Self-motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks
● A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members at all levels
● Data-Driven Decision Making: Proven ability to analyze performance data and KPIs to identify trends, optimize workflows, and drive operational improvements.
● Vendor/Stakeholder Management: Experience liaising with external partners (e.g., Logistics Providers) and addressing community or public feedback with professionalism.
● Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to prioritize effectively in a high-pressure, 24/7 environment where circumstances change quickly.
Pay :
- From £15.30/hr – £16.65/hr
- Paid weekly
