Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Fulfilment Team Leader to join their busy warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time while maintaining high standards of productivity, quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team.
- Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives to achieve daily targets.
- Ensure customer and store orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor team productivity and ensure processes and procedures are consistently followed.
- Manage staff performance, attendance and daily KPIs.
- Plan workloads effectively, particularly during peak trading periods.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound dispatches.
- Carry out stock control checks and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Company procedures.
- Investigate operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a warehouse or fulfilment environment, ideally within FMCG.
- Experience supervising or leading a warehouse team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using warehouse systems.
- Experience using Shopify would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Knowledge of Lean or 5S continuous improvement principles is desirable.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime, evenings or weekends to support business needs.
