    Parts Sales Advisor (HGV Truck & Trailer Parts)

    Location: Warrington
    Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
    Hours: Monday to Friday with a flexible start time of either 7:00am or 8:00am, finishing at 4:00pm or 5:00pm respectively. Every other Saturday, 8:00am – 12:00pm.

    The Opportunity

    We are recruiting for a Parts Sales Advisor to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service while working in a busy, customer-focused environment.

    Previous experience within HGV, commercial vehicle or parts sales is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. If you have a strong customer service background, are eager to learn and have a keen interest in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry, we’d love to hear from you.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming parts enquiries, serving trade counter customers, sourcing parts from suppliers, and supporting the branch in achieving sales and service targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Professionally handle incoming telephone enquiries and convert them into parts sales.

    • Serve trade counter customers, providing expert advice and excellent customer service.

    • Source and purchase parts from suppliers while achieving the best possible pricing.

    • Maintain appropriate stock levels and assist with inventory management.

    • Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve sales, margin and profitability targets.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national customers.

    • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate new business.

    • Carry out stock checks, stock cleanses and process internal stock transfers efficiently.

    • Process customer payments accurately and handle cash in line with company procedures.

    • Support over-the-counter sales and delivery performance alongside the wider parts team.

    • Liaise with delivery drivers to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.

    • Monitor local market activity and identify new sales opportunities.

    • Ensure compliance with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

    • Support the wider branch team with additional duties as required.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

    • Previous experience in parts sales, customer service, retail, automotive or commercial vehicles is beneficial but not essential.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • A professional and confident telephone manner.

    • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

    • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

    • A willingness to learn new systems and develop product knowledge.

    • Knowledge of stock control or purchasing would be advantageous.

    • A full UK driving licence is preferred.
