Location: Southall, Middlesex
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
Our client, a well-established food manufacturing business is currently looking to recruit two experienced Quality Auditors to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated quality professional to play a key role in maintaining high food safety and quality standards within a fast-paced production environment.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are consistently met in line with company procedures and current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure our client’s food safety and quality objectives are consistently achieved
- Cover all production areas (Low Risk / High Care) in line with the rota
- Review out of specification results and implement corrective actions where required
- Investigate customer complaints and support resolution processes
- Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) raw material and finished product specifications
- Ensure GMP standards are maintained across all departments
- Ensure compliance with current legislation systems and company procedures
- Audit production paperwork daily in accordance with BRC and customer requirements
- Verify production documentation daily and carry out traceability exercises when required
- Support implementation of operational changes in line with technical guidance
- Take corrective action for non-conformances in line with established systems and procedures
- Provide training to operational staff when required
- Support new product development activities including sample preparation production trials DAF plant monitoring and taste panels where required
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Head of Technical to support the smooth running of the department and business
Knowledge and Skills
- Previous experience as an Internal Auditor within a food manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting internal customer and GMP audits
- Exposure to high risk / high care food production environments is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality and compliance
- Flexible and willing to support the wider business when required
- HACCP Level 2 or Level 3 certification
