    Job Title: Packhouse Line Leader

    Location: Bramford Ipswich
    Salary: £30,000 per annum
    Hours: 5 days on 2 days off working approximately 07:00-17:00 or 17:30 depending on season and workload
    Overtime: Paid at 1.25x for a 6th consecutive working day

    Role Overview

    My client is seeking an experienced Packhouse Line Leader to support the efficient and effective operation of the packhouse. This role is key to ensuring customer orders are packed accurately on time and to specification while maintaining the highest standards of food safety quality and hygiene.

    The Packhouse Line Leader will be responsible for leading a production line, operating machinery, and motivating the team to deliver consistent high performance particularly during peak periods.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene and food safety standards

    • Operate packhouse machinery safely and in line with SOPs

    • Lead, motivate, and manage the packing line team to meet daily production targets

    • Prepare packing lines and manage efficient changeovers to meet customer orders on time

    • Maintain high quality standards and ensure fruit rotation, labelling, and documentation are accurate

    • Monitor labour usage and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, escalating any production or staffing issues

    • Work professionally as part of a fast-paced team, maintaining flexibility during peak periods

    Skills and Experience Required

    • Fluent English and Russian speaking
    • Previous experience working in a fresh produce packing environment
    • Proven experience operating packing machinery including Top Seal and Flow Wrap

    • Experience leading or supervising teams

    • Excellent attention to detail

    • Strong focus on quality and efficiency

    • Ability to work flexibly with hours and shift patterns particularly during peak periods

    Additional Information

    • On the job training will be provided to support ongoing development

    • Flexibility is essential due to seasonal workload variations

    • Overtime is paid at 1.25x when working a 6th consecutive day
