    The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a People Advisor to join their on-site team and play a key role in creating a supportive, inclusive and high-performing workplace. This is a hands-on, generalist HR role within a fast-paced operational environment, ideal for someone who is passionate about people, culture and doing things the right way.

    The Role

As People Advisor, you’ll be a friendly and approachable first point of contact for all people-related matters on site. You’ll work closely with managers and employees, providing practical, values-led HR advice and supporting the full employee lifecycle.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Acting as the first point of contact for employee and manager people queries

    • Providing HR advice on absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing and engagement

    • Supporting employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances

    • Coaching and developing line managers to build confidence in people management

    • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and retention to ensure a positive employee experience

    • Maintaining accurate HR data, records and reports, using insights to identify trends and improvements

    • Championing company values and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture

    About You

You’ll bring a people-first mindset and the confidence to balance empathy with pragmatism in a busy environment.

    You’ll ideally have:

    • Experience in a generalist HR or People Advisor role

    • Background in manufacturing, food production or another fast-paced operational setting (desirable)

    • A solid understanding of UK employment law and employee relations

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels

    • A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail

    • A genuine passion for creating great places to work

    Qualifications:

    • CIPD Level 5 desirable, or

    • CIPD Level 3 (working towards or willing to train)

If you meet most, but not all, of the criteria, our client would still love to hear from you – potential and attitude matter.

    Benefits

Our client offers an excellent benefits package, including:

    • Paid leave for key life moments (such as birthdays, moving house, becoming a grandparent or a child starting school)

    • Staff profit share

    • Wellbeing programme

    • 30% staff discount

    • Smart spending discounts and free food perks

    • Team meals, events and away days

    • The opportunity to work for a B-Corp-certified organisation committed to people, sustainability and community

    …and much more.
