Grounds Maintenance Operative
We have an exciting opportunities to work for local councils as a grounds maintenance operative. Pay rates from £12.21 per hour, rising to £18.31 for any overtime hours completed. These roles are based in Braintree and Dunmow.
Main Duties of Grounds Maintenance Operative:
– To carry out a range of tasks defined within the relevant specifications and work schedules, which encompass the Horticultural Service, including: grounds maintenance activities, Grass cutting, sports field maintenance, hedge cutting, shrub bed maintenance and litter-picking
– To complete all documentation in respect of the above
– To use and maintain a range of vehicles, plant, tools and equipment in accordance with Manufacturer’s instructions, including the completion of all maintenance checks.
– To wear the Council’s protective uniform and comply with all Health and Safety legislation/regulations, including: safe working practices, risk/COSHH assessments
Pay:
Before 12 weeks: £11.52, OT rate: £17.28
After 12 weeks: £12.49, OT rate: £18.75
Standard working week: 37 hours
About You:
– Previous experience within ground maintenance is preferred, particularly if this experience is within another local council.
– Experience working with a range of powertools
